Medium: Soft Pastels on Pastelmat

Throughout the day I felt ‘the call’ of another moon painting. It kept nudging me every so often but I was too busy with other tasks! 
.
Squeezing-in a good long walk in the woods gave me a refreshed connection with nature and absolutely uplifted me. 
.
Finally at 10pm I knew ’it was time’! 
.
On this night it looked nearer somehow... it's colours warm and bright... just above the trees before ascending further. It certainly felt like it was on the move together with those whisps of clouds.
 
And so I set the scene for myself...
.
Lit some candles and an incense stick from the ‘Art of Africa’ Love pack .. selected ‘just the right’ music…did a little ritual connecting with that magical Full Moon outside… then connected with the materials I was about to use. 
.
This time I chose to work on mixed media paper…not something I do often these days ... but this is what I was drawn to. 
.
And with an energy and intention of deep and heart-felt gratitude, love, hope and sheer wonder… it began and continued till the early hours of the morning!

Many layers herein… including copper and gold.
